Brave Space is a 501c3 built to equip and improve the lives of those who battle with suicidal ideation, self-harm and mental health. We foster a space for vulnerability and conversations. We empower students, families, and community leaders to heal emotional, relational wounds through evidence-based practices. Such as cognitive behavioral therapy and art therapy.
How Brave Space Began...
Brave Space founder Alexis Rosado shares how media can be a powerful tool for good— and how she built "Brave Space" by bringing that belief to life. Drawing on her background as a broadcast news reporter, Alexis discusses how she collaborates with therapists, educators, and artists to create impactful media that sparks meaningful conversations, strengthens emotional health, and helps students choose life. In this TEDx talk, she shares the vision behind Brave Space and the life-saving impact of media, creativity, and connection.

Brave Space is a non-religiously affiliated organization, and our curriculum is not faith-based. However, we recognize that spirituality can be an important part of a person's overall well-being. We value partnerships with churches and faith-based community organizations that share our commitment to empowering young people, fostering meaningful connections, and supporting their emotional health. We also welcome students of all religious beliefs, including those who don't identify with a religion.
Brave Space isn't about promoting a particular faith, it's about creating space for people to grow, heal, connect, and discover their own power.

We empower students to become leaders by equipping them with tools to overcome any obstacle that comes their way. We teach tools to help students express themselves through writing, poetry and art.
